Happy Friday! Our tour guide Nina will be here soon to pick us up and take us on a final driving tour of the city. We'll see Central Park and St. Patrick's, among other things. Next we go to the Guggenheim Museum, followed by lunch. Our last activity of the trip is Madame Tussauds, then we'll head to the airport and be on our way home. Our flight is United 509. Parents are reminded to please park your car and come inside to pick up your child. We'll wait at baggage claim. Your child must tell their travel group teacher that they are leaving. Please don't take them without informing the teacher first. This will help us ensure that all children are returned safely. Thank you! See you tonight.

It's hard to believe it's already Day Four! Time is flying. Today SMA does NYC. We start with the 9/11 Memorial Park and the National September 11 Memorial Museum. Afterward, we'll go down to Battery Park and board the ferry. We'll have lunch on Liberty Island, then our tour guide Nina will escort us to Ellis Island where we'll have an audio tour at the Statue of Liberty. We'll finish our tour of downtown, then head to dinner before the Broadway production of Aladdin. It's back to the hotel and to bed after the show.
Here are more pictures from yesterday. They took almost the whole night to download. Hopefully it will be faster tonight.

Hello, loved ones! We had an eventful day, but I can't seem to force this wifi to download the photos from my phone. Exactly one picture is coming up, despite the many that we took. For tonight, I can only offer you one (albeit cool) photo. I'll have to post the rest tomorrow. Till tomorrow, then!
Day Three...Here we come! We start this morning with a trip to the White House for a photo op. Next we will visit the Spy Museum for a little while, followed by lunch. Around noon we'll load the bus and head out of D.C. and onward to N.Y.C.! We'll arrive at the hotel around 4:00, check in, then head out for a walking tour of Times Square. We will briefly interrupt our walking tour of New York to have dinner, then head back out with our tour guide to see more sights. The tour and our day's activities will conclude at the Empire State Building. It's back to the hotel after that. It promises to be another exciting day. Look for pictures to be posted tonight. Have a great day back in Denver!

What a busy day! We walked and walked and walked some more. In fact, I've included a screen shot of my fitbit results today. That's a lot of steps! The wreath ceremony was lovely. Our girls did a fantastic job. Enjoy the photos and video (if it works). I would also like to point out that we received a few comments today on how nice our kids looked. We love hearing that. Good night!
Rise and shine! (Is it 6:00 a.m.? My body is telling me it's 4:00 a.m.) We have an important day ahead of us. This morning we finish visiting most of the memorials with Viet Nam, Lincoln, and Korean. We'll go to the Newseum after that, followed by lunch. From there the bus picks us up and takes to the Capitol for a film and a tour. We go to Arlington National Cemetery next for the "Changing of the Guard" and to partake in the "Wreath Laying Ceremony" at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Our fabulous bus driver, Cheryl, will then take us to the Kennedy Center for the hilarious, interactive theatre show, Shear Madness, We'll eat dinner at the Kennedy Center after the show. We end the day with a visit to the Marine Corps Memorial - Iwo Jima, and arrive back at the hotel around 9:00 p.m.
Phew! Here we go!
